The Treasurer receives all funds of the organization, keeps an accurate record of receipts and expenditures, and pays out funds in accordance with the approval of the officers. The Treasurer presents a financial statement at every PTO meeting and as requested by the executive board, and makes a full report at the end of the year. The Treasurer also develops proposals for budgeting, modifications to budgets based on officer decisions, and recommendations based on experience and the financial status of the organization.

Maggie Yang, 2012-2013 Treasurer

Maggie was born and raised in Taiwan. She came to the United States eleven years ago, attended Colorado State University and received her Masters degree in Computer Information Systems. She was a stay-home mom for 7 years and went back to working full time in the IT area in May of 2011.

Prior to her current full-time job, she loved volunteering and helping out at her children’s schools.  Having the education and cultural backgrounds for both the U.S. and Asia, as well as being multilingual, Maggie hopes she can help improve the communication and relationships between the parents, teachers and school.

Maggie’s daughter is in 3rd grade Mandarin class. She also has a 5 year old son.
